Hi! I’m Alanna Faucher

Owner & Operator of Prairie Collective Bookkeeping & Accounting.

I was born and raised on a farm in south-central Saskatchewan, so agriculture has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s shaped who I am and has given me a deep appreciation for the hard work, resilience, and community spirit that defines rural living. Today, I live in Rockglen, SK with my fiancé Jesse and our two energetic boys, Remi & Mance. Together we juggle the demands of shift work, family life, and running a family grain farm.

As a fellow business owner, I know what it’s like to juggle a million things at once while trying to keep everything running smoothly. I understand the unique challenges entrepreneurs face, from the constant planning to the unexpected curveballs—especially in the agricultural world, where no two seasons are ever the same. That firsthand experience drives my passion for helping others gain financial clarity and peace of mind.

A FEW FUN FACTS ABOUT ME

  • I love the mountains so I love heading west when I can for some fresh air, snowboarding, and stunning views.

  • Golfing, staying active, spending time with family and friends and catching the occasional good book are my favorite ways to recharge.

  • The prairie skyline holds a special place in my heart - there’s nothing like those endless rolling hills and sunsets.

  • Small-town living is my happy place. The slower pace and sense of community beat city life any day.

  • Coffee is a necessity. A great cup is my secret to tackling busy days!

  • I thrive on transformation. There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking a pile of chaotic receipts and turning it into a clear, organized set of financials that just makes sense. It’s like solving a puzzle, and I love seeing everything click into place.

  • The best part? Watching the stress melt away from a client’s face when they realize their finances are finally under control. That moment of relief and newfound clarity is why I do what I do - it’s not just about numbers; it’s about giving people peace of mind.

Theresa Tendler

Senior Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer

Theresa is the kind of person you want in your corner - efficient, hardworking, great with people, and not afraid to dig in and get things done.

With 7+ years of experience in public practice, she knows her way around a set of books (and a tax return). Her background includes everything from bookkeeping and personal tax preparation to corporate year-ends and GST/PST filings. Growing up on a farm near Lisieux also means agriculture isn't just another industry on her client list - she understands the realities of both crop and livestock operations firsthand.

Theresa now lives on an acreage south of Assiniboia with her husband Josh, kids Jack and Lexi, and a small zoo consisting of dogs, cats, chickens and a pony. When she's not keeping numbers (or animals) in line, you'll probably find her chasing kids around the hockey rink, camping, gardening, reading, or soaking up the simple moments.

Fun fact:

Theresa and Alanna go way back - all the way to their school days in Rockglen. They were always friendly, but it wasn't until they spent several years working together at a neighbouring accounting firm that they realized just how well they worked together (and, apparently, how cool the other one actually was).

The rest is history. Prairie Collective was eventually born, but from the very beginning, Alanna built the firm with the hope that one day Theresa would be part of it. So while she might be the newest face around here, this partnership has been years in the making.
